COBY Fitness Band App Privacy Policy

This policy covers the ChargeWorx Connect app for iPhone, the companion app for the ChargeWorx KH138 and COBY SB138 fitness bands (the app shows the COBY look for a COBY band). For purchases on cobyaudio.com, see the store privacy policy.
The short version
The app does not collect your data. There is no account, no sign-in and no server. Everything the band measures stays on your iPhone, and goes to Apple Health only if you turn that on.
Information on your device
- Band data: steps, distance, calories, heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, stress, breathing rate, fatigue, sleep, workouts and the PAI score. Stored only on your iPhone.
- Your profile: sex, birthday, height and weight, which the band uses to count distance and calories. Stored on your iPhone and sent only to your band over Bluetooth.
- Cycle tracking: period dates you choose to log. Stored only on your iPhone.
- Workout routes: your location, only while you record a GPS workout. Stored only on your iPhone.
- iCloud Backup: if you turn it on, a backup of your history, bands and settings is saved in your own iCloud Drive. We cannot see it.
Apple Health
If you turn on Sync to Apple Health, the app writes your band data to the Health app on your iPhone. The app only writes to Apple Health; it does not read from it. Data from Apple Health is never used for advertising or shared with anyone.
Bluetooth, location, camera and notifications
- Bluetooth connects to your band.
- Location is used only while you record a workout, to map your route and measure distance.
- Camera and Photos are used only for the camera shutter, which saves the photos you take to your library.
- Calendar and Reminders are read only if you turn on band alerts for events and reminders. Nothing leaves your iPhone except a short buzz message to your band.
- Notifications are local alerts, such as low band battery or a reached step goal. They are created on your iPhone.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your information. The app has no analytics, advertising or tracking. If you choose to email us a band log for support, we use it only to fix your problem.
Deleting your data
Delete the app to remove all of its data from your iPhone. Data you copied to Apple Health stays in the Health app, where you can delete it.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new date.
